Accufast HCG Pregnancy Test Weekly 1S Description The Accufast One Step HCG Pregnancy Test is a self-performing immunoassay for the qualitative detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in urine. It is designed for early pregnancy detection and includes a week indicator that estimates how many weeks have passed since conception. Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is a hormone produced by the developing placenta shortly after fertilization. In a typical pregnancy, HCG becomes detectable in urine approximately 7 days after conception, with levels doubling every 1 to 2 days. By the time of a missed menstrual period, urine HCG concentrations reach approximately 100 mIU/ml. Peak levels of 100,000 to 200,000 mIU/ml occur toward the end of the first trimester. The early appearance of HCG after conception and its rapid rise during initial gestational development make it a reliable marker for pregnancy detection. How to use - Remove the test stick from the foil pouch. - Take off the cap to reveal the absorbent tip. - Hold the stick by the thumb grip with the absorbent tip pointing downward. - Apply urine to the absorbent tip until it is completely saturated. - Place the test stick on a flat surface with the result windows facing upward. - Read the results within five minutes. - Each test is for single use only. Interpretation of Results Negative: Only one line appears in the control area. Positive: Colour appears on the control line (C) and on one or more test lines (T1, T2, T3, and/or T4). Invalid: No distinct coloured band appears in both the test and control areas, or a coloured band appears only in the test area.
