Dentogel Gel 10G Description Dentogel Gel 10G contains two active ingredients: choline salicylate and lidocaine. Choline salicylate belongs to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) class, while lidocaine is a local anaesthetic. This gel is indicated for the treatment of mouth ulcers. Mouth ulcers, also referred to as canker sores, are small, painful lesions that form inside the mouth or at the gumline. Choline salicylate exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes in the body. These enzymes are responsible for producing prostaglandins, which are generated at sites of tissue injury and contribute to pain and inflammation.
