WELLBABY MULTIVITAMIN DROPS 30ML
Description Wellbaby Multi-vitamin Drops is a nutritional supplement designed for infants from 4 to 12 months of age. It supplies 16 vitamins and minerals in a balanced formulation developed to match the high nutrient demands babies have relative to their body weight. This supplement is intended to complement the rapid physical growth and development occurring during infancy, including bone formation, muscle development, blood production and brain development. The drops contain vitamins A, C and D. The UK Department of Health advises that children from six months to five years receive a daily supplement containing vitamins A, C and D, unless they consume approximately 500ml (1 pint) of infant formula daily, as formula is already fortified with these vitamins. A measuring syringe is included for accurate and safe administration, with the drops to be placed on the baby's tongue shortly before feeding. Brain Development Iron is included in the formulation as it contributes to normal cognitive development in children. This is particularly relevant for vegetarian babies once they begin solid foods, as non-heme iron from plant sources has lower bioavailability than iron from meat. Wellbaby Multi-vitamin Drops is suitable for vegetarian infants. Bone Growth and Development Infants are born with approximately 300 bones, with rapid skeletal growth occurring throughout the first year. The drops provide 10 µg vitamin D3, the form preferred by the body. Vitamin D contributes to normal bone growth and development in children, as well as normal immune system function.
